////MAC STYLE BLACK COLLECTION
On Thursday I made my way over to MAC for the launch of their style black collection. I have been eagerly waiting for this collection since I heard about it almost two months ago on Temptalia.com. I didn't try everything on, but what I did try on was interesting.
-The mineralized eyeshadows are nothing special by themselves, with some fix+ they show their potential by being intensely dark with a hint of glitter, but on top of the grease paint stick the shadows were just glitter. Not my favorite. I'd say for best results, spray your brush with fix+ first then apply.
-There was nothing special about the penultimate to me, just your run of the mill black liner.
-The grease paint, however, caught my attention. It leaves a shiny finish to the eyes by itself and it could also be used as a base.
-Smolder is just a typical waterproof black eyeliner. I didn't really need to try it on.
-Black Knight is this true black cream lipstick. Alone, it adds a sheen to the lips. This could also be used as a base to darken other colors as well.
-The Mattene lipsticks were my favorite. I didn't care for night violet because it was this plummy old lady kind of color that I hate. But Midnight Media is much more exciting. But maybe that's because I love anything matte? I would highly recommend lining your lips first because all of the lipsticks feather after some time.
-I only tried Blackware Glimmerglass because the other two weren't as special to me. Blackware has such a pigmentation to it (unlike the other black gloss rip offs like Kat Von D.)I'm not a huge fan of gloss (or anything shiny) but I really did like this one, and I'm not crazy about glimmerglasses either.
-The cream colour bases are just like what you'd expect. Creamy, and boring. You can find dupes of these everywhere. Or just use Urban Decay's Primer Potion.
-I didn't try the Volcanic Ash face products or the nail laquers because...well you can't. You would need to buy those in order to try them out.
So all in all I didn't fall in love with any of the products, but I wouldn't throw them out either.

In a world where women have the best shoes, how do men recover? Most of them, Like Rad Hourani above, push the envelope and create heels for men. But some people weren't so pleased:

Enough is never enough, fuck you New York Times. I don't see why in order for men's shoes to be "edgy" they have to be watered down versions of woman's shoes. I say bullshit to it all. People like Rad, Jean Paul Paula, Thomas Tait, and even Marc Jacobs wear heels (And look beyond amazing in them.) So why does the fashion world seem to view this idea so ridiculously? I say wear them, go'head. My logic is; wear what you want as long as it pisses someone off.
I would imagine they would accept such a trend with open arms, but apparently not. If men walking on the runways (Or streets, I don't judge) causes such judgment, I wonder what the fashion world has to say about an all black cast via PPQ at LFW09?
So in order to prolong such a ridiculous and insane idea, my next purchases will be these Acne HEELS. You know, just to stick it to the man.

Overall the general silhouette isn't very surprising. It's very Rodarte; shredded, torn, sewn back together. I loved the black maxi and the long fringed dresses. The shoes were a bit of a miss, but how could you recover from the Louboutin's of FW08? Kirkwood did good though. Nonetheless, I understood their concept and where they were going. And the finale? Chiiild.

I've been feeling so uninspired lately. Everything I've been looking at has been so mediocre its bumming me out. I have a closet full of clothes but I can't seem to put an outfit together to save my life. I actually dread when time comes to get dressed. I want to walk out of my house wearing a long tent and sunglasses. But alas, I don't have a tent nor do I have decent sunglasses for that matter.
I have some kind of _____'s block going on. I have everything block, actually. I feel so sloppy when I'm not focused or organized. Even this novel is annoying me because it's basically one huge run on sentence with no structure. And with that being said I'm finished. Maybe my ~juices~ will come back and I'll feel more inspired to post new things. I'm tired of posting the same shit over and over.
